The methods "Fall asleep child" vs. “Sleep without tears” in practice: the images speak for themselves

The Entrelínies program aired last Monday on TV3 a short documentary about children's dream where two families could be seen, each applying their own methods to sleep their babies.

The first was according to the controversial behavioral technique that Dr. Estivill advises in the book Go to sleep kid; the second, according to the philosophy that Dr. Rosa Jové exposes in her book Sleep without tears.

The images speak for themselves. They show us that there are two ways to sleep the baby. Letting him cry in the crib with a time system, which generates anguish both in the parents and in the little one who feels bewildered, or helping him to sleep in a natural way, and even in this case in the same bed of the parents.

I hope the documentary can serve many parents who feel disoriented and desperate about what is right and what is not at bedtime for their children.

Although it is in Catalan, it is not difficult to understand, and also without understanding the words the message is very evident. It is not necessary to let the baby cry in the crib to learn to sleep. We are not spoiling it or spoiling it, at least that is also my point of view.

For more information you can visit the Sleep without crying forum where Ruth participates, the mother who appears in the documentary applying the method of Dr. Rosa Jové.
