Pocoyo joins Earth Hour

The animated character Pocoyo, one of the favorites of children (and many parents) will be this year the Children's Godfather of Earth Hour of WWF, one of the largest international organizations dedicated to the conservation of nature.

Pocoyo will thus support the global mobilization campaign against climate change and he will carry out various actions in which he will be taught to take care of the planet to demonstrate to young and old that global warming can be stopped.

Among the actions a game related to recycling will be organized, and a poster of Earth Hour for children and the video you have above are being disseminated. Material will also be offered for schools, with hobbies and coloring sheets.

I think it is a good way to raise awareness of the importance of natural resources and the consequences of climate change.

I think that children from the age of three are already able to understand these concepts and from home we can initiate them in environmental education To grow responsible.

Earth Hour 2010 will take place on March 27 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. local time in each country and this year, the NGO intends to mobilize more than one billion people from 6,000 cities worldwide.

If you remember, this special hour was quite successful last year, and also had the support of Pocoyo. More than 4000 cities turned off the lights of their most representative cities. Almost one-sixth of the world's population joined the initiative.

Sure this year again With an ambassador like Pocoyo, more children join this Earth Hour.
