Six children's books to take care of the environment

If we have to trust what adults do today to take care of the environment, the truth is that the future does not seem very encouraging. That is why we must wish that the children have it clearer, and that when they grow up they pay attention to the respect and care of our world.

One of the ways to bring children closer to environmental education is through books, those perfect companions for any occasion. In some of them, adapted to children, we talk about climate change, greenhouse effect, alternative energy, recycling ...

Let's see some children's books to take care of the environment:

  • "The Earth has leaked" (Editorial SM), a book with pictograms that deals with the importance of water, with astronauts and sorcerers as protagonists (three to five years).

  • "Captain Verdemán" (Editorial Juventud), a superhero who has to save a small city that is drowning in the piles of garbage, due to laziness and waste of its inhabitants (from five years).

  • "My first guide to climate change" (La GaleraEitorial) explains to older people how we can collaborate to curb the symptoms of Earth's disease (from ten years old).

  • "10 things I can do to help my world" (RBA Books Mill Publishing), a decalogue for the little ones in a libo with flaps and die cut.

  • "Reduce, reuse, recycle" (La Galera), a title with many photographs, and with capital letters and short phrases, ideal for young children to learn about water, trees, health and recycling.
