Pregnant women traveling in the Tokyo subway will be able to 'request' a seat through an application on their mobile

One of the problems we face when we are pregnant and traveling by public transport, is that moment in which the bus or subway are very crowded and there is not a single seat available.

In Tokyo they have thought of a solution for this and They have created an application for pregnant women traveling in the subway to ask for a seat.

Some time ago we told you about Babee on Board, an application launched in the United Kingdom to warn if a pregnant woman needed a seat on public transport. Now in the Tokyo subway, famous for their wagons that are always crowded, they will test a similar application.

The idea of the application arose because currently most of the people traveling in the subway they are immersed in their mobiles and because of this they don't realize Sometimes when there is a pregnant woman who needs a seat.

This application, which will go through a trial period, must be installed on the pregnant woman's mobile and in which those who have registered as volunteers to give up their seat. The message alerting that a pregnant woman needs a seat will be sent to people who are close to her and volunteers can send your location so you can take it.

After testing it and if the application works, it is thought expand it to also include other people who need a seat as senior citizens or with some special need.
