The Breastfeeding Support Association Mamare de Castellón has organized a open day for next December 19, with what they intend to bring parents, mothers and grandparents to the benefit of breastfeeding. The president of the association, Amparo Soriano, affirms that it is necessary to involve the family so that she can support the mother to the fullest, in addition to teaching them all the benefits that breastfeeding brings.
Although it seems incredible, there is still a lot of ignorance in this matter, many mothers find it difficult to be able to comply with the shots that the baby needs and their intention is to clarify all the doubts that mothers, future mothers and relatives may have. According to the head of the Neonatology Service of the General Hospital of Castellón, Dr. Ramón Aguilera, breastfeeding in the province has risen by 10% in two years, which suggests the change in the mentality of new mothers, sometimes thanks to the information they receive about the benefits of this performance for their baby and herself.
Within the work program of the Mamare Association, on December 12, they will hold a conference on baby feeding until the second year of life.
