A toy, An illusion

Last November, the eighth solidarity campaign "A toy, An illusion", which have been carried out every Christmas since 2000, the Crecer playing Foundation and National Radio of Spain. Another year, Infanta Doña Elena will be its honorary president and was in charge of presenting the campaign in Madrid. from November 12 to January 5.

In this season and once again, it's the solidifying pen which will help distribute smiles to the neediest children. For only 5 euros, you can buy it in different shopping centers such as El corte Inglés or Alcampo, among others, and even at the Post offices. With the proceeds from its sale, toys will be manufactured and shipped worldwide. On this occasion, the toys will reach 22 countries, from regions as different as Central America, Africa and the Middle East. In addition, for the first time, the campaign will arrive in Asia.

Since 2000, 1,400,000 toys have been sent and 1,000 toy libraries have been created for children to "play and learn by playing," said the president of the Crecer Playing Foundation, José Antonio Pastor. In this edition, 23 NGOs will help in the difficult task of distributing these grants. In the previous edition, a record collection was achieved, which allowed to send 405,000 toys and create 200 toy libraries.

This year they have the special collaboration of athletes Carles Puyol and Rafael Nadal. They, along with other familiar faces, will be in charge of publicizing this campaign. We will see spots of these celebrities reviewing their memories with the toys and games they shared as children, while images of children who receive their first toy are projected. In addition, Radio Nacional de España will include informative pieces in its programs and news programs through which the different profiles of the campaign will be shown.
