They decide to give birth to their daughter with anencephaly to donate their organs and give life to other babies

A tremendously difficult situation for some parents is to face a story like that received by Krysta Davis, 23, and Derek Lovett, 26, a couple from Cleveland, Tennessee, when they were waiting for their daughter.

At eighteen weeks of pregnancy they received the diagnosis that their baby suffered from anencephaly, a serious birth defect that prevented vital parts of his brain, skull and scalp from forming during embryonic development.

Although they were told that they would only survive a few hours at birth, the parents decided to continue with the pregnancy and give birth to her daughter so she can donate her organs and give life to other babies.

It was very difficult for parents to accept that they could only be with their daughter for a limited time, but they enjoyed every little moment with her and found comfort in knowing that her loss would help other families.
