"Welcome home, Max," a children's pet story

What child does not want to have a pet. But living with an animal involves responsibilities that not all families manage to carry out, and abandonment can occur. The Affinity Foundation has edited an educational book in the form of a story, "Welcome home, Max", to educate children in respect for animals.

The Affinity Foundation is a non-profit organization whose main objective is "Promote the role of pets in society". In the booklet, children are explained what it means to have a companion animal, the care and affection they need, or the great problem of pets being abandoned.

Also, if we have doubts about what would be the best pet for our children, the story details how to choose it, how to feed and care for it to be healthy and happy, how to live with them in the cities and alternatives for when the family goes on vacation.

The story stars Ana, a ten-year-old girl, and her family: mom, dad and a little brother. The story begins when they go to an animal shelter to adopt a puppy, Max.

The microchip, the visit to the veterinary clinic, the vaccines, the passport for pets, food, hygiene, education of the dog in which the whole family participates ... an adventure that the family goes through together to make Max be healthy and happy.
