Bikes and Helmets: application to learn to ride a bicycle safely

We bring you from Circula Seguro, an application developed by Mr. Garamond SL for the Road Safety Institute of Mapfre Foundation. It was presented in November 2012, and aims to teach children how to ride a bicycle safely.

It is called 'Bikes and Helmets', and in it you will find the games “Play the signal” and “Rompecabici” and the simulator “A safe bike ride”, all available in Spanish, English and Catalan. Before entering the simulator, the children can play "Touch the signal" to make sure they know the signals and "Rompecabici" to review their knowledge of the parts of the bicycle.

The application is available for iOS platforms, and in this video you can see more about how it works

After learning the basics, you can go to the simulator 'A safe bike ride'.

For my part, and coinciding with the comment after the entry of Safe Circle, I think that this application can help in theory (how the explanations of the parents help).

However, cycling through cities is not so simple even when there are enabled lanes, for the best option it may be for children to safe areas, and in the meantime, reflect on how we could recover space in the city for children.
